# Cheap lighting for product videos

By Con, founder of Music Wide Selfie · Updated 22 October 2026

**Short answer**A big window to the side, a white card or foam board on the other side to bounce light back, and no overhead lights mixed in.

* Turn off ceiling lights; mixed colours look muddy.
* Film in the morning or afternoon, not harsh midday sun.
